An urban kibbutz is a community of different groups of young educators and activists living together in shared households. They function as a single financial unit, living ideals of equality and cooperation. Program participants will live in their own apartments and form their own temporary group within the larger urban kibbutz in Haifa.
Urban Kibbutz Social Change is an exciting new program beginning in September, 2019!
The program is geared towards participants the ages of 20 and 30. It will take place in the beautiful city of Haifa, lasting approximately four months. Participants will live together and volunteer side-by-side with their Israeli counterparts in a variety of volunteer settings ; agriculture, journalism, political/social research and education.
Participants will study Hebrew in an ulpan and enjoy trips around Israel.
This program gives a unique opportunity to meet and volunteer with a group of Israeli educators and activists who are committed to values of equality, democracy and social change.
