The role of the Software Engineering Intern is to design, develop and test software that will allow EMC’s partners to successfully launch powerful VPLEX and RecoverPoint -based services.
A successful candidate will be a team player with great development skills and a passion for delivering powerful and advanced solutions to completion. S/he should also have adaptive thinking and flexibility to accommodate continuously changing customer environments.
The intern will be responsible for:
– Developing partner-centric integrations of leading industry products
-Enabling enterprise-grade IT solutions that meet our customers’ needs
-Developing multiple components using different technological means, and agile methodologies
-Integrate and/or guide integration with cloud orchestration solutions by leveraging third party products and/or customer/partner systems
-Familiarity with server and/or client-side frameworks and technologies, such as: SOAP and REST APIs, Java and Spring; Maven; Spring/Java unit tests; other server technologies (e.g, Ruby on rails, PHP, Asp.NET) preferred; AngularJS; grunt and bower; and other client technologies (e.g., ExpressJS, NoJS) preferred
-Familiarity with agile development and test driven development
-Knowledge of the following preferred, but not required: infrastructure development for cloud stacks (VMware/Axure/AWS/OpenStack); networking, configuration and automation tools (e.g., jenkins); integration with other software components such as MSCS, MSSQL
-Ability to deliver quality products in a fast-paced environment
-Excellent communication skills
-B.Sc. (or higher) in computer science/software engineering, with high grades and another mark of excellence
