Latet organization is a non-profit organization that takes action to reduce poverty in order to create a better, more just society in Israel, through comprehensive aid to impoverished people, motivating the public towards acts of giving, mutual responsibility, generosity, and leading a change in national priorities. This aid is given in all areas of the country and to all sectors, regardless of religion, race, gender, culture or nationality. Projects run by Latet include: Youth Movements, Aid for Life to Holocaust survivors, City Without Hunger in Bat Yam, To Give a Future – grants for single mothers to start a business, and of course food charity.
Job Description of Trainee:
Supporting all aspects of Resource development & Marketing including the development and execution of workplace giving, foundations, Jewish federations, major gifts, corporate relations, and planned giving. Other options for law, advocacy and policy making are available. If interested, can be combine with other departments as well. Intern will be able to go on site visits, see the programs and projects Latet runs and interact with Israeli society.
Preferred abilities & skills:
•Position will build and maintain constituent relationships; develop and execute growth, plan and coordinate engagement opportunities, including the planning and implementation of annual fundraising campaigns
•Position requires strong verbal, written and oral communication skills
•Branding and marketing experience (including writing articles & blogs & digital campaigns & grant writing)
•Ability to network and partner with all stakeholders including a broad and diverse representation of community organizations
•Requires skill in multi-tasking
•Meeting deadlines and performing under pressure
•Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
•Manage relationships with community partners, community investors and community programs
•Ability to effectively lead, inspire and develop a goal-oriented culture
•Must be proficient in English.
•Must be proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office.
