As a Research Assistant at Tel Aviv University’s Sackler School of Medicine, you will work with Dr. Yona Keisari. A faculty member of the Department of Human Microbiology, Dr. Keisari’s research involves testing immunological systems in mice for application in human cancers.
Intern will read research articles on topics in the labs field of study, some days intern will do histology, others days preparing cells in the hood, and others working with the mice either giving them injections, measuring tumor size, or performing surgery/electrochemical treatments.
You may also have the opportunity to sit in on medical school lectures and courses.
-Knowledge of cell biology, immunology, and pathology advantageous, but is not necessary if one is willing to put in the extra work to learn these things outside of the internship
