The Medical Research intern will join the Pediatric Neurology Unit team to work in neurogenetic clinics special genetic neurodevelopmental clinics and to help gather and process bioinformatics data.
The interns’ responsibilities will include:
-Gathering and process bioinformatics data
-Working in the genetics lab extracting DNA
-Helping with ongoing genetic analysis projects
-Working with the head of the department
-Background in Medicine and/or Biology
-Interest in medicalresearch
-Experience in lab research
The Pediatric Neurology Institute at the Sheba Medical Center is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of children with acute and chronic Neurological and Neurodevelopmental Disorders. The institute’s clinics provide comprehensive investigative diagnosis and treatment for neurological disorders such as Headaches, Epilepsy, Neuromuscular Disorders, Peripheral Nervous System Disorders, Inflammatory Disorders of the central nervous system, Developmental Delay, Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD), Autism, Genetic Neurodevelopmental Disorders, and Neurometabolic Conditions.
