The Israeli Ministry of Tourism seeks a Marketing Assistant to assist the Overseas Marketing Department’s Americas, Europe, Asia, or rest of the world (ROW) Geographical Desk.
Once assigned to a Desk, the Marketing Assistant will be responsible for:
-Research and analysis of the region’s various markets (marketing, economic, consumer behavior data, media outlets and sources, business opportunities etc.)
-Preparing documents and agreements for various committees and departments within the ministry
-Meeting with tour operators from Israel and abroad, as well as media companies (Google, advertising agencies, media purchasing companies)
-Assisting with preparations for delegations of journalists, thought leaders, trade-professionals, as well as meeting with said delegations
Depending on his or her interests and qualifications, the Fellow may have the opportunity to pursue an independent, long-term project.
-Background in Marketing, Economics, Communications, Public Relations, or Tourism
-Familiarity of business processes
-Interested in culture, history, religion,lifestyle, wellness
-Proficiency in English and at least one of the following: Russian, French, Italian, German, Spanish
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office
-Strong inter-personal skills
-Able to work independently
The Department is part of the Marketing Administration and is in charge of the marketing activities of the state of Israel around the world. The department oversees the activities of 19 offices around the world, and manages many activities directly from Jerusalem.
