We are looking for an extremely talented individual to join our security big data analytics team. S/he should be able to work on projects from different angles; from the design and architecture stage through final customer implementation. As a member of an international team, the intern will work closely with machine learning experts.
The intern’s project will include building a prototype for a new product capability around identity analytics. This project will involve supervised and unsupervised learning technologies, as well as both front-end and server side development. The goal of the project is to build a proof-of-concept on real world security data, demonstrating the next steps in how data science can be utilized in the security world.
-Passionate about solving business problems with DS concepts and technologies
-Strong algorithmic background in machine learning and statistical analysis, with a data structures background
-Programming and Scripting skills Big data processing systems and infrastructure – Python, R, Hadoop, Storm, Hive, Pig, etc.
-Experience in end-2-end development (preferable in Big Data environments)
-Fluent in English, with good communication skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional global team

RSA has a large R&D center in Israel focusing on fraud and cybercrime prevention. In addition the RSA global research and innovation team is located in Israel, with the charter of deploying data science technologies across all RSA products (fraud and cyber security).
The data science team includes a group of 15 data scientists divided into 3 main teams; the algorithmic angles (lots of PhDs to learn from), an engineering team working in Big Data environments and developing MapReduce jobs and prototypes, and the product management and strategy angle. The team develops new technologies, methodologies and tools to enable advanced modeling and statistical analysis in the challenging world of security.
