Pardes is an open, co-ed and non-denominational Jewish learning community, based in Jerusalem and with programs worldwide.
Spend 4.5 months immersed in the study and discussion of core Jewish texts, while developing vision and setting goals for both your personal and professional future. Gain practical hands-on experience through an enriching 9-10 week internship in your field of interest (business, medicine, high-tech, Jewish education/non-profits, the arts, social justice, coexistence). During the summer internship period, participants will come together once a week to reflect and learn.
Highlights of the program include:
-Full participation in the Spring Semester experience, including trips and Shabbat programming
-9-10 week internship in a field of your choice
-Free Life Coaching sessions
-Mentorship from within the extensive Pardes alumni network
-Weekly volunteering during the spring – a chance to get to know the field
Students usually rent apartments in Jerusalem. Pardes provides helpful housing resources to accepted students, including a listserve.
In addition to Masa grants and scholarships, Pardes offers financial assistance to students based on need and/or merit and tries to ensure that no qualified student is turned away for financial reasons. Grants and interest-free loans for tuition (students studying 20+ hrs/wk) and for living expenses (students studying 30+ hrs/wk only) are available to eligible applicants. Funds awarded for living expenses are disbursed to the students in the form of monthly stipends during the program.
