Job Description of Trainee:

The Microsoft Stores have become one of the largest worldwide retailers of Microsoft products and is poised for significant growth in the next five years. To fuel our continued growth in in Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa (CEE & MEA sub-regions), we are seeking an exceptional intern to support the Digital Stores Lead to drive revenue and share growth in the CEE & MEA Area, to deliver on profitability of Digital Stores across software services and hardware devices, and achieve high “Net Promoter Score” with outstanding work on customer experience and journey. The intern will support the CEE & MEA Digital Stores Lead to drive orchestration across teams (planning, buyers, site merchandisers, customer services, demand gen) to achieve execution excellence and hyper growth for Microsoft Digital Stores. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide analysis to support business goals and key priorities; support the development of end-to-end sales and marketing plans that align customer & audience acquisition strategies with product solutions. Help coordinate plans with Store Demand Generation Leads, CRM, local Product Marketing Groups and Segment marketers, establishing and tracking KPIs and ROIs for paid & non-paid tactics. • Provide support to the Digital Stores Lead to engage with EMEA regional and local Buyer, Planner, Merchant, Site Merchandising and Marketing teams to create and package offers and compelling experiences and services for each core customer segment. Help synchronize product roadmaps, sales forecasts and inventory allocations with Planning, Buyer & Replenishment teams. • Support tactical responsibilities that are aligned to fiscal accountability of Microsoft Stores and the local Consumer and Device Sales teams, including sales & customer issue triage & escalation and more. • Develop deep business and customer insights based on triangulation of data across our sales and marketing touch-points, Web reporting data and end-customer research & feedback. QUALIFICATIONS: • Results orientated product marketing/digital marketing expertise with an incredibly strong bias for action • Ability to work and coordinate with a large number of people all around Microsoft, local subsidiaries, and other regional and corporate stakeholders to organize high level tactics. • Exhibits an entrepreneurial spirit that is passionate about building businesses within a fast paced environment, while changing the way customers perceive our brand and our products • A deep understanding of digital & eCommerce marketing, both current and emerging tactics, with the ability to translate marketing needs into program execution • Superior communication skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Deep familiarity with customer data and customer insights. • Strong communication skills across all levels of organization and working knowledge in Central and Eastern Europe or Middle East and Africa is preferred • A character that exemplifies Microsoft values including integrity, honesty, openness, personal excellence, constructive self-criticism, continual self-improvement, and mutual respect • Relevant experience in product marketing, online and digital marketing • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or related experience.

Training required:

Fluency in English – oral and written – is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel). Skill set required: strong communication skills; analytical/quantitative skills; project management skills; “can-do” attitude; pro-activity; cultural sensitivity; fast learner; results-oriented. Skill set highly desirable: understanding of e-commerce and digital marketing (paid/non-paid demand generation, conversion, payment instruments, etc); good knowledge of advanced Excel functionality (e.p. pivot table, PowerBI). Additional desirable skill set: understanding of languages and/or business landscape in middle east and/or central and eastern Europe region (i.e. consumer purchasing habits, competitive arena for software & hardware e-commerce, etc). Experience in consumer marketing and/or understanding of consumer electronics companies such as Apple, Samsung, etc and/or e-commerce marketplaces (e.g. Souq.com/Amazon)
