The Manufacturers’ Association of Israel (MAI) represent more than 2,000 Israeli companies which accounts for over 90% of Israel’s industrial output. As an independent umbrella organization, the MAI represents private, public, government and kibbutz-owned enterprises, constituting a powerful advocacy element both at the level of proposed legislation, and in practice. Through lobbying efforts and hands-on involvement in policy making, MAI supports free and open trade based on reciprocity and fair trade practices, and facilitates opportunities for international trade.

Job Description of Trainee:

a. Initiate cooperation between Israeli and worldwide enterprises.

b. facilitating collaboration in R&D activities.

c. Advice and assist manufacturers in formulating and implementing marketing strategies, business development tactics, performing market research and creating business relations with suitable partners.

d. Establish relations with commercial and economic attaché, government institutions – coordinate access to international projects, tenders, and funding programs.

e. Produce and host international business delegations and seminars, organize B2B meetings and lead network sessions.

f. Promote industry-academia cooperation by defining the needs of the industrial sectors and developing knowledge-sharing tools.

g. Compose speeches and prepare presentations for association’s executives; lecture at international business conferences and receptions.

h. National Contact Point (NCP) for the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) – Build business partnerships and technological collaborations.

*** The position will include aspects also the role of Policy Manager.

Training required:

1. Have a background in Economics/ International relations/ Business management/ Trade

2. Excellent English skills (Hebrew a plus)

3. At least 3 months internship

4. Working hours – 8:00 – 17:00 (flexible)
