If you have at least one Jewish grandparent and are between 18 and 31 years old, you could be eligible for $3,000 of funding (or more) for five months. Project Coordinator, SHITUF – UJA Federation of New York - Provided by Masa Israel Elite Internships  

atl="uja federation of new york"The Project Coordinator will assist the work of the UJA-Federation of New York Israel office in Jerusalem and will be managed by SHITUF Project Director. He/ she will also be an integral part of the Israel office and will assist in office-wide tasks as well as appropriate.

-Support the planning and assist the organizing of major retreats. These retreats will be high level, high visibility and impact gatherings which celebrate the brand, role and vision for Israel of UJA-Federation of New York
-Coordinate the logistics of the applications and admissions process, including coordination with relevant pools of potential applicants (returing shlichim, B’nei makom and so on)
-Support work of project director and whoever relevant in branding and marketing of Change makers, including publicity on participants recipients
-Support the project director in documenting meetings, planning sessions etc.

-Fluent Hebrew and English
-Good working knowledge of Israeli society and/ or the NGO community in Israel. Familiarity with US NGOs also an advantage
-Experience of organizing retreats/ events
-Experience in marketing and branding
-Proficiency in computer skills; online network experience a plus
-Organized and high attention to detail
-Proficient in logistics
-Must have an academic degree. Master’s degree – an advantage

Research Fellowship, NGO Monitor - Provided by Israel Government Fellows  

alt="ngo monitor"The Research Fellow will be assigned to one of NGO Monitor’s research desks (Israel, Europe, BDS, Legal), to be determined based on the interests and strengths of the fellow and the needs of the organization. Certainly, the enthusiasm of the fellow is of high importance for NGO Monitor, and discussions with the fellow will be premised on creating a project that he/she feels will passionately and wholeheartedly pursue.

The research will entail:
-Monthly written and oral progress reports
-Op-eds, in the fellow’s name, to be published in various Israeli and international papers
-Short research papers (3-8 pages) on specific areas of the larger research project, for publication on NGO Monitor’s website
-Correspondence with relevant government offices and organizations, to advance the research, develop contacts for affecting public policy, and maximizing the impact of the publications
-Preparing PowerPoint presentations and other materials
-The position may include correspondence and/or meetings with diplomats and foreign government officials

-Preference for strong academic background in political science, international relations, law, or human rights
-Demonstrated interest in and awareness of the Arab-Israeli conflict
-Strong research and writing skills (writing sample will be requested)
-Willingness and demonstrated ability to adapt to new working environment, and integrate smoothly into a team of staff
-Flexible and cooperative approach to work
-Commitment to the goals and priorities defined by NGO Monitor

NGO Monitor provides information and analysis, promotes accountability, and supports discussion on the reports and activities of NGOs (non-governmental organizations) claiming to advance human rights and humanitarian agendas.

The aim of NGO Monitor is to generate and distribute critical analysis and reports on the output of the international NGO community for the benefit of government policy makers, journalists, philanthropic organizations and the general public. We intend to publicize distortions of human rights issues in the Arab-Israeli conflict and provide information and context for the benefit of NGOs working in the Middle East. We hope this will lead to an informed public debate on the role of humanitarian NGOs.

The goal of the iEngage Project is to respond to growing feelings of disenchantment and disinterest toward Israel among an ever-increasing number of Jews worldwide by creating a new narrative regarding the significance of Israel for Jewish life. This narrative will serve as a foundation for a new covenant between Israel and world Jewry, elevating the existing discourse from one with a crisis-based focus to one rooted in Jewish values and ideas.
